California says no to gay marriage.

November 7th 2008 09:07
As the dems enjoy big wins, and the biggest prize of all the White House, and they are surely rejoicing jubilantly. However gay couples are not so happy, as the voters said no to gay marriage, and no to the liberal judges that tried to hijack the state constitution. They soundly rejected the liberal ideas, and said that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Laughing Democrat

Gay marriage is in serious trouble, and the country may not be as liberal, and without values after all. If one of the most liberal states in America says no, I believe it will reach to other liberal states as well. But there is one hope for gays instead of California. New York maybe their best hope, as they went totally democratic, but then maybe the people of New York would have to use their voice and say no as well, but that is up to them.

One more thought, I believe that this administration will make a lot of republicans out of independents, and democrats.

I think you're right, Lester. There will be lots of people who get disgusted and switch to the sane party once they see what B.O. has in store for them! My big concern is that California voted down gay marriage before and a few "justices" overrode the vote to make it legal. They'll probably do it again. When you have a bunch of liberal activists on the highest bench, they can magically "find" all kinds of things in the Constitution (state or federal) to make their agenda seem acceptable. Look at Roe v Wade!

You are right S.L. this is the second time, they have had to vote on this, maybe this time it will be clear enough for the liberal morons on the bench out there. Also similar measures past in other states as well. Any way it did take a lot of excitement out of Barack's big win didn't it.

S.L. I just had the best Idea, Barack thinks there is 57 states in United States, wouldn't it be great if we created just one more state to make 51.

We would us San Francisco make it a state that only gays could live in, Change it's name to queerastan move all the gays to it, and see if it falls into the ocean.

Now, there's a plan, Lester. Maybe it'll fall off while B.O. is there to congratulate the new governor of Queerastan, Gavin Newsome! With the added weight of such ego's, it wouldn't be able to keep from falling off into the sea! LOL

I don't believe in gay marriage, I think the concept is ridiculous, some gays may be sincere in their wishes but I suspect the others have ulterior motives.

If they are, or think they are, gay, let it be, but not assume the religiously based concept of marriage between a man and a woman. Mainly for the protection of children of the marriage, I think.

Gay men have in the past been notorious for soliciting sex without any sense of responsibility, are we now to believe that has all changed? and older 'gays' pray on younger ones, for all the wrong reasons, this happens with heterosexual relationships, too, but not so much.

The gay life style, to me, seems notoriously self indulgent with no regard to the welfare of others. AIDS made them a bit more responsible, mainly to help themselves.

There are gay practices, especially amongst men, which are harmful to their body and very little publicity is given to these concerns, leaving many to 'get sucked in' inadvertently.

I do understand mistakes of nature and even of nurture, but promoting certain practices is not a solution.

Does it make any sense at all that one can perceive himself as being female, but the male who uses that female, how can he protest he thinks he's a woman. It does not make sense.

On the whole just an abuse and a use of sexual licence.

Hey katyzzz thanks for stopping by, and I agree with you. Many of them are predators, and their victim may not be aware of it. Aids could be eradicated if only people would practice morality.

Hey S.L. I would say that it may suffer fireballs from the sky like Sodom did. Boy talk about global warming. LoL

hi Lester, S.L., and Katyzzz

i have put a post on the Writers Forum seeking opinions from Orble writers about what constitutes acceptable conduct and consequences for bad behaviour on the network

i would like to get suggestions from across the board and involve users from all walks of life

everyone has a different definition of what contitutes "offensive materials" and i would like you all to outline what you think the limits should be when it comes to images, content, and post titles

i think it would be useful to put our differences aside and take a constructive approach to formulating a Code Of Conduct or revising the existing Terms & Conditions

i also think the grievance procedure needs to be streamlined and made more consistant and efficient

feel free to agree or disagree in comments

CLICKHERE to go to the post on the Writers Forum

i would like to hear from some people of faith to address religious intolerance etc. so please pass this on to any other users you think would be interested in contributing

perhaps if the guidelines were more specific we would all have a more enjoyable blogging experience and be able to foster a friendly environment to attract new writers
