Church, and Dinner today
June 14th 2009 12:44
We had our annual revival, and homecoming service this week with the last service, and dinner today. It has been a good revival this year, we have had some good preaching, and inspirational signing with good fellowship.
On the contrary beliefs of homeland security we never planned any terrorist attack, nor any other anti American demonstration. We were exercising our Constitutional right of freedom of religion, not freedom from religion as most would like it to be.
Some of the preachers did however point out that abortion is killing babies, and homosexuality is sin. I heard some very hearty amens, and I was pleased that the government couldn't punish my church for their statements since we pay our taxes, and don't have to bow to the IRS, or the federal government.
We still have free speech, and we used ours to worship God, but no doubt there will be some that say we used hate speech. Christianity is clearly a religion of peace and love, but it does not allow, or condone us committing sin. If we are to follow God's word we must use the Bible as a road map. We are not allow to change it to fit our beliefs, but must change to follow the beliefs already expressed in the Bible.
In Closing I wish everyone a wonderful, and blessed Sunday, I hope you get out and exercise your freedom to worship in what ever religion you believe in peaceably.
