Obama says "NO" to dinero's

June 20th 2008 21:55
Presidential Democratic Candidate, 'Barak Obama', just opted out of public finance funding in his election campaign. Now you know, he recently raised more than 84 million dollars alone, during his democratic run off with Senator Hillary Clinton. I've been told that if Obama opts out of public finance for the general election in November 08, his campaign will depend solely on the private donations of individuals. Look, Obama raised over 84 million before the general election campaign ever begun, even before the Democratic party knew who their candidate would be. He has broken historical records in regards to fundraising in a political campaign. His advisor's has stated that John McCain has already began spending private funds toward his campaign.

I don't know where Obama's decision to opt out has came from, oops, I think I do. Back during the democratic run-op, Obama vs. Clinton, Obama stated and signed a document stating that he would be willing, if being the democratic candidate, to opt out of public finance for the funding of his general campaign. Later, he stated that he 'would have to think about it', that being said after millions were unsuspectedly raised. I think a little pressure from citizens, his party and his advisors might has helped shaped a new perspective and view from Obama.

Folks, I do believe that he is in it to win it. Because of such great success in the primaries, Obama is now exceedingly confident or just plain 'knows' that if he forgoes public finance, his loyal votee's, corporations, famous people, etc., will definately rise to the occasion.

World War 2 Repeat?

June 19th 2008 04:51
Are we about to possibly see a World War 2 repeat? I don't know, but you have to at least say maybe, it's very likely, or it's very questionable. I truely believe that with all of the tension and strife in our world today, especially dealing with diplomacy and relations, we are bound to find ourselves(America) locked up in another world war. You ask why I say this....

Well, one of my main reasons is the Israeli vs. Palestinian conflict. I read earlier today that another truce has been formed between militants in Israel and the Gaza strip. Now, haven't we heard this before, HA!

A truce has been made, so what, I say that we need to wait and see what both side's are willing to do or sacrifice. There has been dozens of truce's made in this conflict and if truth be told, these 2 nations has been fighting for CENTURIES, not decades or years, but CENTURIES!

Ask my opinion, there will never really be peace in the middle east, I don't care how many times a representative from our state department travels to Gaza or how many times the UN sends a representative in hopes of establishing, some kind of diplomacy. NAAAAWW! Israel, or the Jewish people and Palestine or the Palestinians both believe that their forefathers gave them the rights to that little, piece of land, bout the size of New Jersey. So I say that they are really fighting for what they believe is rightfully theirs by heritage.....

NOW, my christian side has taught me a few things about what our belief and the bible states regarding Israel. It basically says that the land belongs to them, but I guess it really depends on what you believe, religion and all or if your just looking at it from the political perspective and considering fairness, not just for the people of Israel but the Palestinians. Tell me 'what do you think?'

UN tries to disable Dictator (LINK)

June 18th 2008 15:03
I read earlier that Zimbabwe's current President Mugabe recently met with Haile Menkerios, UN Assistant Secretary. I am supposing to discuss the current violence and political situation withing ZImbabwe. I am really astonished, no, not really, at the fact that countries are really able to treat their citizens in such a evil way and the UN is basically helpless. Sometimes I wonder, "for how long and how many people will have to suffer before the national community come to the aid of this country." Zimbabwe began his presidency as a 'change' activist. This is how he made it to power. I suppose he has gotten use to have such enormous power, that he is only willing to relinquish it 'over his dead body'. This DICTATOR has already admitted to continuing his violence towards his own people for as long as it takes, as long as the opposition, which is the Democratic movement, does not get power over the government their. Normally, I am against nations medaling in other nations affairs, but who will fight for those who have no voice. If a nation's government is corrupt, who else can they turn to but the international community. I also normally do not agree with using military tactics in diplomacy but this man has withheld food from a country with millions of people where on any given day 1 million people go without food. These people has been solely dependant on their government's assistance for the past 20 years. You have to understand that Zimbabwe and the whole continent of Africa has been in a time of economic hardship for centuries and I really don't know if and when it will prevail. I do not know what the meeting with a UN representative entailed, but I do believe that this man is not given to pressures of the international community. No way, no how! He is willing to let thousands, maybe millions of his own people die and he is willing to give his own life for his demonic, off-sided beliefs. Many say that money is the root of all evil. I believe this also, but I believe that it doesn't just stop their, after money, next is power and Zimbabwe is not willing to give neither up.

I love Barak Obama and what he stands for politically. He is the embodiment of what are country represents, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, a clear racial boundary line. Let it be known that I too am African-American, but I do not agree with all of his beliefs. Many black conservatives and blacks within the church are torn between what Obama represents and what he believes or stands for politically. I personally am a neutral voter. I am neither republican nor democratic, I am an independent. Each election year, I vote for the best candidate, republican or democrat.

Black conservatives are stating that they are torn because they normally do not agree with democratic principles or charters, but with Barak Obama as presidential nominee, they are unsure if their traditional conservative vote need remain. I agree with the dream, the hope for change, and I hope that he is truly the one to bring this about in our nation’s capital, but it is possible that neither he nor McCain can bring about such an enormous change within a 4 or 8-year term. There is a lot of work that needs to been done in Washington and my prayer is that one day we can return to our political roots where each party come together to make decisions that are truly best our nation, not their parties political interest or agenda. Also, in conclusion, voters should vote for the person that best fits or agrees with own personal belief system and values. If you are a more conservative, Christian, bible-believing voter, you should vote for the candidate that represents these same beliefs and has made decisions portraying these beliefs. Ditto for democrats
